United Way of South Texas Recognizes Vantage Bank – Top 10 Company

October 16, 2026

The United Way of South Texas Board of Directors proudly recognizes Vantage Bank as a Top 10 Company Campaign Supporter.   “Being recognized as a United Way Top 10 Company is an incredible honor and a reflection of Vantage Bank’s commitment to serving our communities. This recognition celebrates the culture of giving, teamwork, and community engagement our employees demonstrate every day. We are grateful to our employees and proud of our partnership with United Way, which helps us make a meaningful difference in the communities we proudly serve”, said Cris Moncayo, Sr. VP Human Resources and United Way Board Member – Finance Co-Chair.

In 2025 and 2026, exceptional Vantage Bank employees have coordinated their employee campaign and include: Amy Ibarra; Robert Olvera; Jose De la Rosa; Ashley Rodriguez and Joel Ortega.   With the support of leadership, they develop strategies to effectively share the impact that local United Way programs have made in the lives of families in Hidalgo and Starr Counties for more than 45 years.  Worldwide, more than 1,400 United Ways have shaped lives, offered hope and created measurable lasting change for 139 years.   The Vantage Bank team does more than make individual investments, they are also a valued volunteer United Way partner.  Vantage Bank employees may be seen making a difference as Shopping Buddies for middle school students at United Way’s Back-to-School “In Style” Shopping Spree; they participate in Day of Caring events that offer school supplies for 3,300 Freshmen on an annual basis; employees volunteer on the Fund Distribution committee, responsible for the accountability of United Way funded programs; and they serve as Campaign Loaned Executives.  For several years, they have also formed an impactful team that supports United Way’s VITA program, where they assist in preparing income tax returns for thousands of families.  Their deep level of year-round engagement ensures that Vantage Bank employees feel connected to their community and to programs that are valuable to the team.

Investments in United Way help over 220,00 individuals in Hidalgo and Starr Counties. Your support will fund programs, including emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and the homeless; after school, youth leadership and homework assistance programs for children; end-of-life care services; advocates for children in foster care; free income tax preparation services for families who earn $70,000 a year or less and much more.

The United Way Board of Directors would like to express their sincere appreciation to all Vantage Bank employees for their ongoing support.
