United Way of South Texas and the SingleCare Community Service Partnership have teamed together to provide a solution for the community. We are providing prescription discount card that requires no enrollment or activation. Consumers give the card to their pharmacists every time a prescription is needed and discounts are automatically applied.
What is the SingleCare Prescription Savings Card?
The SingleCare Prescription Savings Card is a free card that enables those with high medication costs, both insured and uninsured, to have access to more affordable medications. By showing the SingleCare card to a pharmacist when picking up a prescription, consumers can save an average of 42 percent on their prescription medications. Savings Cards are available to print from the singlecare.com website, as a free downloadable app, or through the mail.

No. The SingleCare card is free to obtain and use. It’s like a coupon that can be used as often as the consumer wants.

Mercedes Tiger’s Den
Mercedes I.S.D. Tiger’s Den Food Pantry is funded by United Way of South Texas. The Tiger’s Den proudly serves 100 vulnerable families per week in the Mercedes area. Many of the recipients are disabled individuals, veterans, social security and Medicaid clients. Thanks to you, the Tiger’s Den Food Pantry has served over 8,000 families since the start of the program in October 2020. Families are contacted by parental liaisons and are scheduled by appointment.
