United Way of South Texas Recognizes the 2021 Loaned Executive of the Year

United Way Board of Directors recognized Vania Vazquez from South Texas Federal Credit Union as the 2021 United Way Loaned Executive of the Year at the Volunteer & Company Awards Event.

Loaned Executive volunteers are “loaned” to the United Way by their companies for the duration of United Way’s annual Campaign. They assist United Way in raising funds to support Partner Agencies and United Way Programs that impact over 175,000 residents throughout Hidalgo and Starr Counties. Loaned Executives are passionate about serving their community.

Vania Vazquez, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at South Texas FCU, has served as a United Way Loaned Executive for three years. She demonstrated leadership and enthusiastically performed her volunteer role with the highest level of integrity and compassion. Vazquez made herself available to United Way throughout the entire Campaign for presentations at various cities, companies and schools.

“I would like to thank the leadership team at United Way for recognizing me with this award,” Vazquez said. “From expanding my skills in public speaking and knowledge on the needs of our community. This learning experience has helped shape me into my role as a Business Development Manager for my career at South Texas FCU.”
